Day 30 - I explored the surrounding Wasatch Mountain Range. Sticking close to SLC due to my imminent chain failure I moved off the range and looped around. I breathed a sigh of relief as I hit the first corners in days. I joined up through Emigration Canyon but got stuck in tourist traffic from Cottonwood to the snow parks surrounding Solitude where I found a silky smooth road and a strangely Switzerland themed town of Herber City. Promising myself to avoid dirt to save my dying chain and sprockets, I unfortunately selected a campsite 15 miles up gravel. Reluctantly I pushed on and found a paved road leading to it from the opposite side. At leased there was a bench and a stream to wash my hair. You win some, you lose some.
