Day 71 - Alabama and Mississippi. What a shit boring day. I couldn’t remember until I went through my photos. There wasn’t anything to see but hot, flat forest and farmland. While I was in swamp territory, I could see it off the side of the road but couldn’t access it. I tried many times to be blocked by private land or closed roads. I found the worst interior decorated cafe I’d ever been in Meridian and was asked if I was Walker Texas Ranger by some boys at the gas station. I met a hunter in the morning at the campground and discussed the 200 pound+ mans shoe choice for hunting, diabetes and hunting deer with a bow for what felt like an hour. Nice guy, with all the hunting he spends 25 dollars a week on groceries for him and his wife. Maybe I missed something in these states, I don’t know. The lake was nice. You weren’t allowed to swim in it. What do people do around here 🤷‍♂️
