Day 64 - Washington, D.C. The hay fever subsided the previous night and I made the early journey to D.C. I toured the mall and saw the White House. The person inside seemingly insignificant to the country is been touring for 2-months. The city structures imposing and the locals educated and politically aware. There was a vibrance of pride as I passed tourists and local joggers at the memorials. The sense of militarism was strong as people paid tribute to those fallen for their country. I headed out North West back to the mountains and found quaint and straight neighbourhoods before I escaped the city. I was relieved to reach the ranges again from the bustle of the East Coast cities, ready to follow them all the way South.
